Hydrated tapioca starch / manioc starch, 500g bag
Hydrated manioc starch for making traditional tapioca. You can fill these with cheese and ham, with chicken and cream cheese, grated coconut or milk cream, etc.
Tapioca or tapioca starch is an almost tasteless starch, which is made from the processed and dried manioc root (Kassava / Yuca). Tapioca contains neither fat nor protein. In Brazil, “Goma de Tapioca” is made into flat bread (also called wraps): these can be combined in many ways and are made easier and faster than pancakes. Popular are the sweet versions with condensed milk and coconut flakes, nut nougat cream or peanut butter. A hearty option is tapioca patties with cheese, boiled ham and / or vegetables. Tapoki is hydrated and therefore ready-to-use. Pre-processing or moistening the dough, as with the dry granulated tapioca, is not necessary.
